Ann A. Kaczorowski was born in the small coal town of Ford City, Pennsylvania on May 21, 1913. She was a mother, a grandmother and a great grandmother. She was a strong lady who overcame many hardships during her lifetime. She was a successful woman in an era and a time when women struggled for equality in the workplace. At a time when candy-makers worked by hand at Gimbel’s Department Store, she was one of the best candy makers and rose through the ranks of the company from the 1950’s through the 1970’s. Her grandchild would always look forward to the box of candy from Grandma at Easter, as it was always filled with a giant white-chocolate bunny and pistachios. Ann was also a quick-witted, smart and loving soul who is, and will always be, missed by her family. Ann passed on October 26, 2010, at which time she was released from the burdens of an aged body and is a free spirit once again.
Update Ann was scattered by airplane over Catalina Island on October 29th by A Journey With Wings.
