I never thought this day would come when I would be able to finally grant your wish to spread your ashes in Yosemite.
The good lord has given me the strength and courage to say my final good-byes. With the help of our pilots Kris and Jamie and A Journey With Wings this experience has been a blessing, to travel to Yosemite by plane on what would have been your 68th wedding anniversary.
Dad, I know how much you loved planes and how wonderful it is to be able to grant your wish on an airplane and for you and mom to be together.
I feel your love and presence everyday of my life and I am certain one day we will be reunited.
I have a poem that was written for you that expresses my love and feelings for you.
Forget Me Not
Forget me not love, for you’re always there to surround us with your kindness and tender loving care. Your lives were an example of strength and all that is good
Giving freely of yourselves in anyway you could. You sacrificed unselfishly with every thoughtful deed. Always there to lend a hand in someone’s time of need.
We thank you for your wisdom and the values that you thought. That part of you lives on in us. We will forget you not.
Each time we look to heaven for your blessings from above, we will thank god for the most precious gift, your everlasting love.

From you lord comes our light when we pass through shadow-filled valleys where love is taken from us.
From you lord, comes our hope when grief weighs us down with its burden of tears and absence.
